Flux Parametrics
Parametric control in Flux allows you to control all geometry and mesh constructs as well
as applicable physical properties and excitation source values. Each of these can be defined
by a simple real number or you can actually enter mathematical expressions into the interface
text-fields. The use of expressions dramatically simplifies geometry creation and re-use.
The following constructs can be parametrically controlled:
- Points
- Lines
- Local Coordinate Systems
- Transformations
- Extrusions
- Mesh Density
- Mesh Distribution
- Material Conductivity
- Material Magnetic Remnance [Br]
- Electrical Circuit Component Values
- Excitation/ Source values
Additionally, our solver technology directly accesses the parameters used in a mdoel instance,
and allows you to explore a similar design alternative by simply perturbing desired parameters
instead of having to revisit the pre-processing.
There is one final note with regards to parametrics in Flux. Each of the declared parameters
resides in an easily accessible ASCII text file, and this enables you to quickly review these
constructs in a 3rd party optimization software or control mechanism.
